About the event

Fans of Townes Van Zandt, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Lucinda Williams will delight in the roots-oriented style of Tom Freund!

Staying true to the roots-oriented style of rock 'n' roll classics whilst blending in his own cosmic, folky-funk twist; Tom Freund's music is soon to grace the California air for a transcendent show!

Over the course of his career, singer/songwriter Tom Freund has released more than a dozen records, collaborated with legends such as Elvis Costello and Jackson Browne, and his long time collaborator Ben Harper with whom he’s made numerous albums and toured the world.  Tom has also recorded and toured with rock legend Graham Parker as well as appearing with him in Judd Apatow’s “This Is 40." Tom has spent much of his career traversing genres, melding whatever sounds that have happened to catch his whimsy. His songs have been featured on tv shows including Better Things, Parenthood and One Tree Hill.  For his latest television project, the Amazon show Pete The Cat, Freund has co-written, sung and played songs with Elvis Costello, KT Tunstall, Dave Matthews and Diana Krall. Tom is also well known as a multi-instrumentalist, performing on guitar, upright bass, mandolin, ukulele, piano or whatever else is in the room.

Joining Tom Freund this evening will be Cabin Creek's very own founder Ellie Rollins and her magical band consisting of Marty Rifkin on Dobro, Zachary Ross on guitar, Keith Frankel on banjo, Alex Balderston on base, and Aaron Hawkins on cello. This very special night will welcome guests to enjoy a heartfelt set of her original songs. Hailing from Hawaii, the songbird-meets-entrepreneur finds influence in the whimsical and the mystical; the contemplative and the loving. Inspired by Folk, Bluegrass, Pop, and Soul-oriented sounds, Ellie's unique blend of genre speaks powerfully through the soul!
