An Evening of Music with... Twanguero!

We're delighted and excited to welcome the otherwordly sounds of Twanguero to the Cabin Creek patio! Spanish guitarist, songwriter, and Latin Grammy Winner Diego Garcia - alias Twanguero - Is a guitar prodigy who allies musical styles with astonishing ease. Recognized for his "fingerpicking" technique, versatility, and unique "twang" sound, he knows how to bring together classical Spanish guitar, Latin rhythms, tango, country, rockabilly, jazz and even surf music!

A lifelong music learner and explorer, he recently started a world music collective, "Los Silverbacks," blending influences and rhythms from Spain, Argentina, and the Congo. With six albums to his credit, his latest one - Carreteras Secundarias, Vol. 2 - is probably the most accomplished to date. It was recorded in the very heart of the Costa Rican jungle, where Garcia spent a few months solo with his Spanish guitar. With Carreteras Secundarias Vol. 1 & 2, Garcia invites us on "a journey from Illinois backroads to Patagonias, where Spanish guitar meets American styles."
