Enjoy a magical night of live music below the stars, this time guided by Chris Murphy - fiddle extraordinnaire - and Katie Skene, blues-guitar virtuoso! With doors open at 6:30 PM and our evening of song beginning at 7:00, we're so elated to partake in a night of cozy, stylish, and float-worthy sets!
Katie Skene is a Blues and Americana singer, guitarist, and songwriter based in Ventura, CA., and originally from Tallahassee, FL. Her music embodies the melding of her Southern roots with a decade spent on the West Coast. The result is a sound uniquely her own, infusing the twang of southern rock with the cosmic sounds of California. Through the prism of her evocative vocals, personal songwriting, and masterful guitar work; Katie's music blends electric swamp blues with jam-band psychedelia.
Katie received a B.M. in Popular Music Performance from the University of Southern California. Since graduating in 2015, Katie has worked primarily on the West Coast, performing in the Jam-Band & Americana scene and collaborating with many legendary artists and musicians. Her second EP, “Toward the Tide,” was released in May of 2023. She currently fronts the Katie Skene Band. Katie's other projects include jam-band supergroup California Kind (with John Molo, Pete Sears, Barry Sless & Rob Barraco), and a collaboration with instrumental funk-world music band, TV Broken 3rd Eye Open.

Chris Murphy, a lifetime lover of music, shows no signs of slowing down after twenty-five years as a professional composer: "Born into an Irish-Italian family near New York City, Murphy was surrounded by the disparate and eclectic sounds of his neighbors’ traditional music. “I heard and was influenced by everything – from Italian-mandolin music, to bluegrass and folk, to Latin music,” he says. Inevitably, he discovered rock ‘n’ roll, claiming still further influence from some of rock’s most adventurous and eclectic icons: Lou Reed and Ry Cooder, Bob Dylan and Richard Thompson."
